AAGC Appointments
Please call Wednesday - Saturday during clinic hours.
(409) 933-1600

Due to the high no-show rate for surgery, beginning December 1, 2009, there will be a $25 deposit required to schedule a surgery appointment.
Clients must give 24 hour notice of cancellation to receive a refund. The deposit will be applied to the client's bill on the day of surgery.

We strongly recommend that you bring your dog in to the clinic for a bordetella vaccine 2 weeks prior to surgery.

All appointments are scheduled Wednesday-Saturday. We are consistently booked 10 to 12 weeks ahead for spay/neuter surgery.

On the day of surgery, drop-off time is between 7am and 8am. Expect a 1-hour wait, as all the animals scheduled for surgery that day are checked in, in the order they arrive.

Upon arrival, all dogs must be restrained by a leash (nylon or leather only, no retractable ones), or in a carrier. Cats must be in a carrier (except feral cats - see info below).

No appointment is necessary for feral cats. Please bring them in a humane trap, only one cat per trap is permitted. All feral cats will have the tip of their left ear notched while under anesthesia.

Pick-up time is between 3pm and 4pm. Expect to spend one hour for pick-up. You will be given post-op instructions by one of our veterinary technicians.

Please contact us 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

If your pet has a current rabies vaccination, please bring the paper certificate with you. Otherwise, we are required by law to give a rabies vaccination.

Remove food at midnight the night before the surgery and do not give food the morning of surgery. Please review the pre-op instructions on this website by clicking on the "Clinic Fees & Forms" link.

Animal Friendly Grant surgeries are scheduled on Fridays only. If you qualify for this service, please bring proof of government assistance which shows your Galveston County address. (Grant money is not currently available.)

Payment must be made when services are rendered. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash and personal checks. Free services are not available at the clinic.
