From the outset, the board members of the Animal Alliance knew that what they wanted was a low cost spay and neuter clinic. It was impossible at first, of course, because the organization started with a dream but no money. So, many bike rides, garage sales, bake sales, and lots and lots of generous contributions from animal lovers later, the perfect building was found and purchased! For many years it had been the veterinary office of Dr. Joseph Robisheaux, and after his retirement he put it up for sale. Much work needed to be done to renovate it for use as a spay and neuter clinic, so the fund raising efforts continued with renewed intensity. It is now ready for use, beautifully renovated by Ramon Martinez, owner of A.U. Services, and a dedicated Animal Alliance volunteer. All equipment is new and state of the art. We are very proud of our new clinic and look forward to showing it off to you!

The clinic is open four days a week, Wednesday through Saturday. Surgeries are by appointment only but can usually be scheduled within one to two days. Animals need to be brought in between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning and should be picked up by 5:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary for sterilization of feral cats. All feral cats must be in a humane wire trap.
